Massage for Grief CE Course with Whitney Moore
8CEs
This comprehensive eight-hour course is designed specifically for licensed massage therapists. Through this body-based and compassion-focused curriculum, participants will learn about the health risks associated with grief and gain insights into common physical symptoms observed in a massage setting. They will also understand the responses of the central nervous system and recognize the unique needs of grieving clients during scheduling, intake, and post-massage process.
Participants will learn to maintain the scope of practice as massage therapists, develop skills in gentle and slow relaxation techniques, learn proper draping methods, and understand the importance of self-care to avoid burnout. This course emphasizes that the work is not about fixing emotional issues or eliciting emotional responses, but about providing a safe, supportive space for the body to relax and heal.
If you feel drawn to this deeply rewarding work, join us to enhance your massage therapy practice and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those dealing with grief. Upon completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. Please note: Each participant needs to bring one set of linens.
About Whitney:
I’m Whitney Moore, and I’ve been practicing massage therapy for seven years, with a special focus on working with grief clients. In that time, I’ve learned how deeply grief impacts the human body and the importance of compassionate, body-based care. Grief is a profound human experience, and through my practice, I’ve seen how essential it is for therapists to support clients through the physical manifestations of their grief.
