Studio Policies

All participants must read and sign our Liability Waiver prior to participating in any services at The Glowing Body.

All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian on-site at all times. A parent or legal guardian will be required to complete a Liability Waiver on behalf of the minor.

Children may not remain in the studio lobby or elsewhere in the building without explicit, advanced permission from The Glowing Body. We are not equipped to provide supervision of children while parents or legal guardians are partaking in studio services.

Any individual causing disruption or distraction to other participants may be asked to leave the premises. Abusive behavior or threats of any kind will not be allowed.

We are not responsible for participants’ valuables. Please store valuables inside of the classroom or treatment room. Any items left behind will remain in our lost and found for up to one week, any unclaimed items will be donated or discarded after that point in time.

 

Cancellation & Refund Policies

The Glowing Body reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. If this occurs, we will issue a full refund or provide studio credit toward future programs.

We do our best to announce events and workshops with enough planning time for your busy schedule. However, we all know plans change and things happen that may make your attendance impossible.  Please review the following policies to make informed choices about your participation.

Class Cards

All prepaid packages of classes are non-refundable, regardless of class attendance. Please review package expirations prior to purchase. Class card balances may not be used for any service other than drop-in classes. Transfer of package balances to another individual may be allowed at the sole discretion of The Glowing Body.

Massage Appointments

It is understood that massage therapy is intended for relaxation, and it is not meant to diagnose, treat or remedy any illness, disease, injury, physical condition, or mental disorder.

The practice of all forms of massage therapy is subject to local laws and ordinances.

Massage therapy is strictly non-sexual. Either the therapist or the client has the right to immediately terminate a session. If a client has behaved inappropriately, as determined by The Glowing Body, full payment for scheduled service will be required.

Full payment is required for all sessions not canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Please contact the scheduled massage therapist or our desk staff in case of emergency cancellation or rescheduling.

Absolutely no refunds for services rendered.

Series & Workshops

Does not apply to drop-in classes, Glowing Body Yoga Teacher Training, or Massage Continuing Education Courses

Your payment, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be returned only if you cancel prior to 72 hours of that event. Workshops or series registration transfers to later events will be considered when requested greater than 72 hours prior to the event start and granted at the sole discretion of Glowing Body.

Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable within 72 hours of the workshop or series start. Please notify us as soon as possible if you know you can not attend so we may try to fill your spot.

Massage Continuing Education Courses

A minimum of 6 students is required for each course. Class size is limited; all courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment in full is required to hold your space.

A $50 administrative fee applies to transfers or cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the start of the scheduled workshop. All transfers must be applied to a course with the same instructor, within 365 days of the original course date. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable if canceled within 14 days of the course.

A full refund will be provided in the event of:

  • Course cancellation. In the rare event of date change or course cancellation, you will be notified no later than one week prior, except in the case of emergencies.

  • Illness
  • Travel delays due to weather
  • Death in the immediate family

Any other circumstances should be discussed with your instructor. Please notify your instructor as soon as you know you may not be able to attend.

To receive course credit, participants must attend the entire workshop, fully participate, and satisfactorily complete all course requirements.

Glowing Body Yoga Teacher Training

Once you are accepted to Glowing Body Yoga Teacher Training, you will receive a copy of our cancellation/withdrawal policy. You will be asked to read, sign, and return a copy of this policy prior to enrollment.
